Keeping Your Business and Home Clean

If you have a tile floor with grout in your kitchen, the main thing to be concerned with is the grout. This is because the grout can become very dirty over time. If this happens, this can make your entire floor look dirty no matter how often you mop it. Fortunately, there are many ways to clean grout, two of which are listed below. 

Clean the Grout Yourself

Purchase a spray grout cleaner and a grout brush to clean the grout yourself. You can find these things at home improvement stores or online. Use a sponge mop or a rag to wipe the grout first to remove as much dirt as you can. This also loosens ground in dirt making the grout easier to clean.   

Spray the grout cleaner that you purchased generously on the grout working with small sections at a time. Let the cleaner sit for a few minutes and then use the grout brush to wipe over the grout going in a circular motion. You may have to do this a few times if the grout is very dirty. You do have to ensure the brush you use is made for grout, so you do not damage the flooring.  If you do not have the brush, you can use an old toothbrush instead. 

When you finish cleaning all the grout, rinse the entire floor with warm or cold water to remove all cleaning solution. This is an important part of the process as you do not want to leave cleaner behind.  Once the grout is clean, you can then mop the entire flooring. 

Hire a Tile and Grout Cleaning Company

If your tile and grout is very dirty and/or stained and what you do is not working, hire a tile and grout cleaning company to do this job for you. They have much more powerful cleaners they can use that will not damage grout and works much better. They may use a mechanical brush to make the job go faster. 

A common way a tile and grout cleaning company cleans is using hot steam and pressure. The steam forces dust, dirt, and more off the grout. Once the grout is clean, they can then clean the tile for you making your entire kitchen flooring look brand new. While they are there, if you have grout tiles in a bathroom or other room, ask the company to clean this for you also.
